Free electronic signature for small business

Most "free" e-signature plans are a trial with a countdown, or they strip the audit trail out of the free tier — which removes the part that makes the signature worth anything. This one does not.

Free plan available · No credit card required

How it works

  1. 1

    Create an account

Email and a password, or Google or Apple. No credit card, and no trial clock counting down in the corner.

  2. 2

    Upload and send

Upload a contract, place the signature field, and send it to your signer. They sign in the browser without creating anything.

  3. 3

    Keep the signed copy

You get the signed PDF with the full certificate of completion — the same certificate the paid plans produce, not a watermarked version of it.

What the free plan actually includes

The free tier is meant to prove the thing works on a real document, not to run an agency on. These are the limits, stated plainly so you can tell before signing up whether it fits:

  • Three documents a month, counting proposals, quotes and contracts together
  • One signer per document
  • One uploaded reference document and up to three clients
  • One reusable contract template with merge fields
  • The full certificate of completion and audit trail, unwatermarked

What it does not include

Automatic reminders, multiple signers, bulk send, the PDF page editor and custom branding are on the paid plans. Nothing is hidden behind a support conversation.

Why the audit trail is in the free plan

A signature with no record of who signed and when is not much use if the deal ever turns into an argument, so holding it back from a free tier would make that tier pointless.

Free documents get the same certificate: certificate ID, timestamps, each signer’s IP address, and a SHA-256 fingerprint of the document as sent.

Frequently asked questions

Is it actually free, or a trial?

Free. There is no countdown and no card required. The limits above apply for as long as you stay on the plan.

Is a free electronic signature legally binding?

The legal standing of an electronic signature does not depend on what you paid for the software. What matters is evidence of who signed and when, which the certificate of completion provides on every plan.

What counts against the three documents a month?

Proposals, quotes and contracts share one allowance. Sending an existing PDF for signature counts as one document.

What happens when I hit the limit?

Documents already sent keep working — signers can still open and sign them. You just cannot start a fourth that month without upgrading or waiting for the reset.
