A Proposify alternative for small consultancies

Proposify is a proposal tool that also signs. DraftYourBid is a document and signing tool that also drafts. The overlap is real, and so is the difference in who each one is shaped for.

The short version

Choose Proposify if…

Choose Proposify if proposals are the centre of your sales process and you want design control, a content library, per-section reading analytics and approval workflows across a sales team.

Choose DraftYourBid if…

Choose DraftYourBid if proposals are one of several documents you send — alongside quotes and contracts — and you want signing, chasing and renewals in the same place, with a free plan to test it on a real document first.

What Proposify does better

  • A drag-and-drop editor built specifically for proposal design
  • Per-section document analytics — which pages a prospect read, and for how long
  • Interactive quoting, so buyers can select optional items themselves
  • A content, section and snippet library for reusable case studies and bios
  • Approval workflows, custom roles and multi-workspace support for larger sales teams
  • Unlimited document sends on every plan

What we do better

  • Contracts and e-signature are part of the product, not the end of a proposal
  • A free plan, so you can send a real document before paying anything
  • Drafts from your own previous documents rather than from a template library
  • A client pipeline, with contract renewal warnings attached to it
  • Automatic chasing of unsigned documents on a 3/4/7-day cadence, then it stops
  • Eleven languages across the product and the documents it generates

How Proposify prices it

We do not quote anyone else’s prices here. They change often enough that a number on this page would be wrong before you read it, and the shape of the pricing matters more than the figure anyway. Both live pricing pages are linked below.

  • Priced per user, per month, on every plan
  • No free plan — a time-limited trial instead
  • The entry plan is billed monthly or annually; the middle plan is billed quarterly or annually
  • The top tier starts in the low thousands per year

Proposify’s public pricing and feature pages were last read on 21 September 2026. If something here no longer matches what they publish, their page is right and ours is out of date — tell us and we will fix it.

A proposal tool versus a document tool

Proposify is organised around the proposal: designing it, reusing pieces of it, watching how it is read, and routing it for approval before it goes out. For a sales team that lives or dies on proposals, that focus is the point.

Most small consultancies send a mix. A quote here, a proposal there, a services agreement when the work is won, a renewal a year later. Organising around the proposal alone leaves the other three somewhere else.

The analytics gap is real

Proposify tells you which sections a prospect read and how long they spent there. We do not do that, and it is genuinely useful information if you are iterating on proposal structure.

What we do instead is narrower: you can see when a document was viewed and when it was signed, and unsigned documents chase themselves. That answers "has anything happened" rather than "which page lost them".

Try before paying

Proposify runs a time-limited trial. We run a free plan — three documents a month, one signer, with the full certificate of completion. The practical difference is that a trial makes you decide on a deadline, and a free plan lets you keep a slow month’s worth of work in the tool while you make up your mind.

Frequently asked questions

Does DraftYourBid do proposal analytics?

Only at the document level — viewed, signed, declined, expired, with timestamps. Proposify’s per-section reading analytics have no equivalent here.

Which is better for a one-person consultancy?

It depends on what you send. If it is almost entirely designed proposals, Proposify’s editor and analytics will serve you better. If it is a mix of quotes, proposals and contracts that then need signing and renewing, the case for one tool covering all of it is stronger.

Can I use my own contract templates?

Yes. Upload a contract you already have, or save one as a reusable template with merge fields for client details, dates and values. There are also free contract templates you can start from.

Is there a free plan?

Yes — three documents a month, one signer, and the complete audit trail and certificate of completion, unwatermarked. No credit card.

Try it on a real document

The free plan sends three documents a month with the full certificate of completion. That is enough to judge it on your own work rather than on a comparison table.
